Overview

What zone monitoring does for your site.

Zone Monitoring lets you draw the areas that matter directly on each camera view — restricted rooms, hazard zones around machinery, sensitive spaces, loading bays, pedestrian walkways — and attach rules to them.

Zones are what give detections meaning. The same person detection is routine in a corridor and an event in a switch room; the zone and its schedule make the difference.

Draw the line where the risk starts. Visrax watches that line so your people do not have to.

What it does

Zone Monitoring, piece by piece.

Each part is configured around your cameras, zones and schedules — the same system, set up for the way your site runs.

  1. 01

    Restricted zones

Mark areas that should be empty or limited to authorised activity during defined hours, and alert on entry.

  2. 02

    Hazard areas

Define exclusion zones around machinery, vehicle routes or drops, with rules for presence, dwell time and PPE.

  3. 03

    Sensitive spaces

Monitor server rooms, pharmacies, cash handling areas or records rooms for entry outside expected patterns.

  4. 04

    Operational boundaries

Use zones for loading bays, queue areas and storage rows to measure activity and flag congestion or blockages.

In practice

Situations your team will recognise.

Factory production area with technicians and industrial machinery. Illustrative object detections.
01

Restricted entry during production

A zone around a robotic cell is marked restricted while the line runs. An entry triggers a high-severity alert to the line supervisor with the clip attached.

Warehouse loading area with workers, storage and a forklift. Illustrative object detections.
02

Loading-zone activity

A loading bay zone counts vehicle and forklift presence by hour. Congestion alerts fire when dwell time exceeds the threshold during peak dispatch.

Commercial building circulation area with people walking through the entrance. Illustrative object detections.
03

Movement in a sensitive room

A records room zone is monitored outside office hours. An entry is logged, reviewed the next morning and closed as scheduled cleaning, with the schedule updated.

Questions

Zone Monitoring questions

Straight answers about how this is configured, what it needs and what it does not do.

01How are zones created?
Zones are drawn as polygons on the camera view in the configuration tools. They can be scheduled, versioned and copied between similar cameras.
02Can a zone have different rules at different times?
Yes. Schedules let the same zone be open during a shift and restricted outside it, with different severities for each window.
03Can zones overlap?
Yes. Overlapping zones allow layered rules, such as a general work area with a smaller exclusion zone inside it.
04What if the camera is moved?
Zones are tied to the camera view. If a camera is repositioned, the zones are reviewed and redrawn as part of change control.
