Overview

What healthcare facilities does for your site.

Hospitals, clinics and care facilities balance open public access with sensitive areas and strict operating standards. Visrax uses entrance, corridor and waiting-area cameras to monitor queue and occupancy in public spaces, flag entry into restricted areas such as pharmacies and records rooms, and give security and facilities a clear record of events.

Configuration respects the environment: rules are based on zones and behaviour, not on identifying patients or staff.

Open to the public, closed in the right places, and calm in between. Healthcare sites need monitoring that understands the difference.

What it does

Healthcare Facilities, piece by piece.

Each part is configured around your cameras, zones and schedules — the same system, set up for the way your site runs.

  1. 01

    Entrance activity

Flow and queue at main entrances and emergency departments, with alerts when waiting areas approach capacity.

  2. 02

    Sensitive-space monitoring

Pharmacies, medication rooms, records areas and plant rooms monitored for entry outside expected patterns.

  3. 03

    Queue awareness

Queue length and dwell at reception and triage desks, with thresholds that prompt additional staffing.

  4. 04

    Occupancy review

Occupancy of waiting areas, corridors and public spaces by hour, for planning and for capacity management.

In practice

Situations your team will recognise.

01

Visitor movement in a lobby

Dwell at the main reception rises during visiting hours. A second volunteer desk is trialled and the dwell metric confirms shorter waits.

02

A restricted access area

A medication room zone registers an entry outside the scheduled round. The incident is assigned to the ward lead, matched to a cover shift and closed.

03

Lobby occupancy during peak

The emergency waiting area approaches its configured capacity. Facilities are alerted and open an overflow area before the limit is reached.

Questions

Healthcare Facilities questions

Straight answers about how this is configured, what it needs and what it does not do.

01Is Visrax suitable for environments with privacy obligations?
Rules are based on zones, counts and behaviour rather than identifying people. Deployment options include on-premises processing, and access to evidence is role-based and logged.
02Can it be limited to public and back-of-house areas?
Yes. You choose which cameras connect. Clinical and private spaces can be excluded entirely.
03How are alerts routed in a 24-hour facility?
Routing is scheduled by time and severity, so alerts reach the on-duty security, facilities or ward team at any hour.
04Does it integrate with nurse call or access systems?
Visrax complements those systems by showing what happens in spaces between controlled points. It does not replace clinical or access systems.
